Job Description Our Wilkes Barre Mail-Order Pharmacy is in search of a Technician I Dispensing Level I to assist with dispensing and filling prescriptions per automated and manual systems while maintaining rate and quality standards. A successful candidate for this role will understand the various methods our pharmacy utilizes to fulfill customer's prescriptions and will be able to fill prescriptions using these methods as well as effectively and professionally communicate questions, concerns, and feedback to the Leadership Team to promote a positive and efficient workplace environment.
**Please Note this position is Monday-Friday from 8:00AM-2:00PM**
Required Qualifications -Must be able to stand during the duration of the shift
- Ability to reach/twist/turn/bend/stoop/walk and lift up to 40 pounds
-Will maintain predictable attendance
-Ability to read English for comprehension
-Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
-Willingness to learn new responsibilities
-Desire to be a positive and contributing member of our Pharmacy Team!
Preferred Qualifications Good verbal and written communication skills along with interpersonal skills in order to work with others in the Pharmacy to process orders.
- Good verbal and written communication skills along with organizational skills.
- Experience in a pharmacy with understanding of prescriptions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be adept at reading/interpreting prescription terminology and medications.
- Must be able to recognize and identify commonly used generic drugs and the route of administration of these drugs.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals (including the ability to calculate dosages and days supply prescriptions).
Education Verifiable High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) is required
