Stelexis is a New York-based cancer therapeutics company, utilizing its proprietary platform to selectively target pre-cancerous stem cells to discover and develop transformative therapies. Stelexis' mission is to develop novel cancer drugs that selectively target these critical pre-cancerous events related to both hematopoietic and solid malignancies.
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Research Associate to join our Oncology Drug Discovery team. This person will be responsible for preclinical assay development and execution of our early stage therapeutics.
BSc or MSc in life sciences with at least 3 years research experience
High level of motivation and ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
Excellent organization and communication skills
Desire to expand one's scientific knowledge and technical skills
Experience in biochemical, molecular biology and cell biology techniques
Competency in cell biology techniques, including tissue culture, viability assays, western blotting, ELISA, flow cytometry and microscopy
Experience with drug discovery of biologics is a plus
Experience using high-throughput and/or high-content screening is desirable

Designing, developing, performing and troubleshooting cell-free and cell-based drug discovery functional assays
Characterization of responses to drugs using biochemical, histological and imaging techniques
Analysis samples from in vivo pharmacokinetics and efficacy studies
Development of biomarker assays for pre-clinical and clinical use
Making independent intellectual and technical contributions to projects
Ordering and keeping accurate inventory of supplies for laboratory operations
Analyzing data, contributing to publication and presenting results at internal meetings
