In Marketing, you'll be the ones who first capture our consumers' imaginations, giving them a tantalizing taste of our brands. You'll work to help our brands stay relevant to consumers by developing and activating brand plans that capture their imagination, passion and loyalty.

Job Scope

Role is responsible for licensing for all US Mondelēz brands including outbound licensing opportunities for food and merchandise, while also providing partnership and consultation with brands on identification and deal development for inbound licensing. Licensing is the key interface in country between other cross functional teams to ensure effective business delivery. The Manager of Licensing is responsible for monitoring the monthly/quarterly financials within the approved P&L budget as agreed with the brand teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop licensing strategies/plans for Mondelez Sr. Leadership approval with support of Brand Equity for food and merchandise
  • Manage all Licensing budgets, and negotiate changes in budget
  • Analyze potential licensing categories & solicit new opportunities
  • Negotiate licensing contract renewals, amendments and any updates with the support of the brand and legal teams
  • Ensure all licensed products & marketing materials (e.g. packaging, FSI, ads, etc) are consistent with the brand equity & approved by internal legal review board and the brand.
  • Manage royalty reports and prepare quarterly summary of internal database systems, provide updates for each brand, and confirm royalty reports are consistent with agreement terms, with the support of finance.
  • Manage Financial Audits
  • On a quarterly basis get projections for the next 4 quarters
  • Confirm quality audits are completed every 24 months, with the support of the quality team.
  • Manage and build relationships/programs with licensees.
  • Develop and advance outbound retail licensing strategies/plans and solicit approved opportunities.
  • Manage product development for outbound license
  • Support and manage relationship for inbound retail licensing opportunities
  • Partner with Brand teams to evaluate and provide strategic recommendations for inbound licensing opportunities to support programs.
  • Advance global licensing center of excellence
  • Ensure Mondelez stays current on licensing best practices/policies.

  • Bachelor's Degree 5 years experience in marketing, licensing, and/or brand management
  • Proactive self-starter who can work independently
  • Deliver quick results with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of brand strategy and communications planning & application across consumer touch points
  • Knowledge of licensing trends & activation tactics
  • Knowledge in consumer / shopper insights and trends
  • External and internal partnership management
