Serves as lead IT Enterprise Architect and collaborates with other departments to analyze the short- and long-term technology needs of LCRA and develops plans following best practices to meet those needs at a strategic enterprise level.
Gathers and documents business needs and requirements for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancements to existing systems.
Partners with management and process owners to align technology process improvement initiatives with business objectives.
Evaluates new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
Provides expertise and recommends products that will evolve the organization's technical landscape to ensure appropriate positioning for the future.
Closely partners with peers in LCRA’s Digital Services team as well as with business area leaders to ensure effective collaboration.
Maps relationships between information system components (business processes, IT platforms and networks).
Identifies key interactions and dependencies across systems and platforms and makes recommendations on technical systems solutions.
Evaluates the total cost of ownership and return on investment of various architecture alternatives.
Serves as a technical expert by providing a roadmap to help guide and ensure success of enterprise-level application roll-outs.
Provides expertise on implementation of system requirements from project initiation to final implementation to ensure that requirements have been met.
Ensures governance structure and compliance activities are in place to allow multi-stakeholder participation and agreement in finding solutions.
Leads and facilitates the creation of governing principles to guide solution decision-making.
Socializes the enterprise architecture practice within the department through collaboration, communication, and training across all business units.
Develops requirements, policies and procedures for the maintenance and use of information technology resources.

Nine or more years of experience in enterprise architecture, business analysis, systems analysis or relevant experience. A degree(s) in computer science, information technology, data science, or a relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
