Position Summary:

The Sales Manager leads a team for an assigned Client program to deliver results and meet program objectives, based on contract specifications, leading a team of Oncology Biologic Specialty Representatives, who will have both remote (phone) and direct (in-person) sales call capabilities. Sales Manager is responsible for managing various aspects of their employment (recruiting and hiring, on-the-job training and coaching, administrative, performance management and corrective action, employee development, etc.).

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

* Manage a team of Biologic Specialty Representatives in all areas of their employment:

o Work closely with the Client team to identify and execute on goals

o Communicate team objectives in ways that promote teamwork and create a strong sense of shared goals among team members

o Manage team members' training needs

o Coach representatives by conducting "cube ride" and field ride sessions. Coaching should occur ~70% of time both in person and over the phone

o Deliver timely and constructive feedback on quality and content of their calls as per expectations set by the Client, using approved Coaching Guide forms

o Monitor Representatives' productivity, workload and outputs (HCP calls, etc.), ensuring that they meet required goals/standards and are in compliance with policies and processes

o Proactively address issues through corrective action process as they arise, engaging Amplity Compliance and senior leadership as appropriate

o Continuously assess Representatives' performance as it pertains to project progress, results and timelines, and create and deliver individual development plans and performance appraisals according to Amplity performance management policies and standards

o Create a team-oriented, productive and positive work environment by developing and mentoring team members through individual and team meetings

o Monitor employee compliance with all company policies and procedures and engage/work with Amplity Compliance to resolve issues and follow up with disciplinary action when needed

o Manage conflict and employee relations on the team, engaging Human Resources when appropriate

o Provide administrative oversight -maintain documentation of team members' attendance, approve time off, schedules, expense reports, etc.

* Develop and implement business plans aligned to the Client's priorities

* Manage team expenses to fit contract requirements

* Monitor project status/changes and develop solutions to address arising issues by engaging senior leadership on issues that may impact revenue and/or client expectations

* Maintain project files and reports

* Assist team with utilization of all technology requirements: CRM use, activity reports, sales reports and other reports as needed

* Other duties as assigned

Key Working relationships:

* Report to Amplity National Client Liaison

* Manage a team of Representatives assigned to the program

* Frequently and effectively collaborate with Client's Customer Team Leader

* Maintain a positive working relationship with customers and client contacts

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of business to business (B2B) sales, medical device, or pharmaceutical sales experience
  • 3+ years of sales management experience
  • Travel average ~30-50% nationally

Preferred:

  • Contact Center or Inside sales management experience
  • Field based sales management experience
  • Experience promoting or in-depth understanding of biosimilar products
  • Experience with buy and bill model and/or business to business discussions
  • Experience promoting in Oncology/Hematology accounts
  • Complex account and territory management experience
  • Experience and understanding of hospital and clinic contracting, account management, and/or account-based selling
  • Contact Center or Inside sales management experience
  • Field based sales management experience
  • Experience promoting or in-depth understanding of biosimilar products
  • Experience with buy and bill model and/or business to business discussions
  • Experience promoting in Oncology/Hematology accounts
  • Complex account and territory management experience
  • Experience and understanding of hospital and clinic contracting, account management, and/or account-based selling

  • Ability to comprehend and communicate complex technical/medical terminology and to maintain the required technical expertise including competitive product knowledge

  • Ability to display high-levels of initiative, effort and commitment successfully complete projects and assignments

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with individuals at all levels inside and outside of the company
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and working proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Successful completion of client training is required in order to proceed to lead the team within the parameters of the program
  • Ability to travel to work related meetings and functions (including overnight and/or weekend)
  • Valid driver's license
