Job ResponsibilitiesAs a member of our Software team, you will be involved in all aspects of software engineering of components that help build Viasat's products and services. This includes participation in research, design, development, testing, debugging, automation and operational activities of the software component(s). This will include being able to attack problems manually (jumping on in real-time to diagnose problems quickly) as well as understanding the system well enough to build automated tests around the features to catch problems before they hit production. You will also be responsible for delivering professional-quality software using sound software development methodologies.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Your day to day work will involve getting hands-on with many different sub-systems in order to build test frameworks
  • Any test automation skill-set (for testing, deployment)
  • Demonstrable experience with any tools that automate processes
  • Experience with automated software frameworks (expect, Pexpect)
  • Experience with various programming languages such as Python, TCL, Matlab
