CBRE Midwest Marketing is seeking a Marketing Specialist / Proposal Writer to join our team.
The Marketing Specialist / Proposal Writer crafts strategy, messaging and copy for proposals and presentations for new business development providing strategic recommendations with a focus on ensuring that all materials meet established standards as to branding and messaging. Works on complex proposals with direct support and involvement from brokers, designers, project managers and marketing manager. Must be able to set workload priorities and communicate effectively with internal clients and teammates. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates/prepares proposals and company responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
Maintains a strong command of project schedule and status. Completes each project in a timely manner or communicates an alternative plan.
Sources and writes original proposal and presentation copy.
Professionally formats proposals in Microsoft Word and/or InDesign.
Works with graphic design staff to plan and produce high quality graphic materials that communicate our messages.
Reviews internal and external collateral materials, proofreads content, ensures appropriate branding and approves materials for final distribution.
Makes recommendations to ensure that all materials meet established standards for branding and messaging.
Provides excellent customer service. Responds promptly to client requests, meets commitments and manages the demands of internal clients.
Demonstrates professionalism. Approaches others tactfully and reacts well under pressure. Accepts responsibility for own actions and follows through on commitments. Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of status or position.
Maintains and updates marketing library of standard company boilerplate proposals, presentations and other collateral materials.
Serves as the primary point of contact for internal clients to access resources across the CBRE platform.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college or university and a minimum of two to four years of related experience and/or training.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to internal clients. Ability to effectively present information.
Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Intermediate skills with various software programs such as Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn web publishing platform.

Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
