We are looking for a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing company. In this exciting role, you will be assigned to products and functional areas within Operations.

The responsibility goals will cover:

  • Overseeing Production, Depot, and outsourced support needs in the assembly and testing of Electro-mechanical box-builds;
  • Helping to continuously improve and optimize existing production processes;
  • Coordinating and leading cross-functional teams for problem solving and project work;
  • Dispositioning and root cause analyses of discrepant material;
  • Developing tooling, fixturing, and other assemby aids;
  • Sustaining process documentation and approving document change reviews;
  • Maintaining, troubleshooting, and evaluating production equipment as needed;
  • Developing and implementing production processes including the design of product flow and routings.

  • 8+ years related experience involving the assembly, testing and repair of electronic assemblies.
  • 4+ years of experience in the manufacture of printer wiring boards including SMT operations.
  • 4+ year of experience with Lean Six Sigma.
  • Expertise in the requirements to meet IPC-A-610 acceptability standard for Class 3 assemblies.
  • Expertise in the rework and repair of electronic assemblies to IPC-7711/7721 procedures.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and create complex documents and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to create presentations and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and propose solutions and action plans.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • BS in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical and/or other related discipline)
  • US citizenship required.
  • 10% domestic travel.

  • Industrial and/or Manufacturing engineering experience in the assembly and testing of commercial and military electronic assemblies.
  • Experience with PWAs, metal enclosures, and a high mix/low volume production environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with lean principles and hands on implementation of lean tools such as 5S and continuous work flow.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, Agile, Bills Of Material, inventory, and routings.
  • Experience with solid modeling software, especially SolidWorks.
