Position:             Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Analyst

Downtown San Jose- Large Software Company

Shift: Day- Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Pay Rate: $32.00HR

Summary:

The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Analyst is responsible for using best practices to identify, analyze, and support all incidents that are either impactful or potentially impactful to business, the brand and or employees. The successful candidate will be a problem solver, possess critical thinking skills and be detail oriented. This position is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and assessing security operations and risks globally to provide the most current and timely information available related to the protection of the company’s employees and assets, and assist the Global Safety & Security (GSS) in an efficient manner utilizing a host of technology tools and information resources.

The Analyst will be responsible for the collection and analysis of open source information as well as various intelligence and news media gathering sites. The information gathered will be used in situational awareness, risk assessments, event planning, travel security and crisis management.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Major Duties):

  • Monitor various intelligence sources to provide company personnel, clients or business partners real time visibility on regional or global events/issues.
  • Processes threat intelligence in order to assess the risk employees and assets.
  • Take intelligence gathered and advises appropriate personnel or entities through the dissemination of concise and comprehensive written or verbal reports.
  • Assist the Senior Management as needed in the oversight of global investigations, assessments and overall security operations.
  • Research and write reports/advisories on security risks to Security Regional and Site Managers.
  • Provide rapid assessment of potentially imminent security situations, sensitive developments and threat issues.
  • Identify, track, and monitor emerging security threats and trends.
  • Conduct case reviews to ensure intelligence gathering and analysis is being done.
  • Enter case updates and intelligence planning as needed.
  • Awareness of all on-going cases and operations.
  • Reviews all reports generated from the GSOC for content, structure, completeness and relativity.
  • Review, analyze and upload select documents into a specialized case management database program.
  • Keep abreast of changing security operation events which could impact stability and operations. Provide research, analysis, coordination, publishing and brief on security threats, non-technical risks in foreign countries or domestic operations that have the potential of affecting the organization’s businesses and employees.
  • Assess unforeseen threat developments and recommend changes in security direction and approach to Global Security Management.
  • Conduct research into various reference archives and databases to extract information contributing to threat and risk analysis.
  • Monitor geopolitical events that may impact corporate aviation, travelers, company events, and/or operations, and provide periodic and timely company notifications through Global Security Management system.
  • Monitor online open source intelligence & company specific systems for known and potential threats to Noble’s security, personnel, assets, and locations.
  • Analyze and escalate, as needed, relevant threats to Noble, while developing actionable deliverables.
  • Monitor security issues or emergency situations appropriately; to include contacting Emergency Services, such as EMS, Fire Dept., Law Enforcement, etc.
  • Navigate and leverage information in access control and video management platforms, assessing and escalating potential company threats Job Requirements.
  • Experience in reporting software, Physical Security Information Management Systems, and mass communication systems.
  • Preferred experience with CCure, Milestone, Quantum Secure, iView, Everbridge.
  • Research and analytical thinking skills for identifying, collecting, and evaluating data to draw logical and actionable conclusions.
  • Basic knowledge of security procedures, emergency, disaster recovery, and business continuity process.
  • Support GSOC Operators with answering routine and emergency radio/phone calls, monitoring alarms and video equipment including fire alarms, door alarms, and duress alarms and provides general assistance to employees, vendors and guests.
  • Support GSOC Operators with life safety incidents response (medical, safety, natural disasters, etc.) and dispatch security officers, ERT, facilities, police, fire and EMS personnel as required via telephone and/or radio.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS (To Perform Job Duties):

  • Must pass the Critical testing with a score of 85% or greater.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an area of study relevant to this position, or; High School Diploma + additional years equivalent experience relevant to this position.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Global Security Operations Center or Risk/Threat/Intel Analysis Center preferred.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite · Working knowledge and experience with video management systems, physical access control systems, intercom, incident
  • Have strong prioritizing abilities.
  • Ability to communicate (written & verbal) clearly and concisely.
  • Understanding of the global geopolitical and security landscape (to include local, bay area).
  • Aptitude to learn our business footprint to enable a “how it matters to us” perspective.
  • Ability to handle high pressure situations and make sound decisions.
  • A professional demeanor, along with excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
  • Able to manage and handle situations of a sensitive nature and maintain company’s confidentiality and information security practices (medical record, personnel issues, investigations, public relations incidents, emergency personnel contact information, etc.).

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-5 years of Global Security Operations Center experience.
  • Must be knowledgeable of GSOC policies and procedures.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Have a strong knowledge of security and emergency operations.
  • Possess a solid employment history demonstrating reliability and dependability.
