A Qualified candidate that can operate CNC machines to mill/cut various wood, foam, plastic and other similar non-metal materials to meet the demands of the production process.
This position requires inputting data into the terminal, nesting, load and unload, labeling, work scheduling, materials management/preparation and other general duties required to operate a CNC milling center in an industrial environment. This position reports to the General Manager who assigns specific projects and provides guidance in the CNC process.
NO Security Clearance
Program, operate and maintain various wood milling, CNC machines.
Perform calculations to determine speed/feed, material optimization, nesting and cycle/run time.
Manage code/information provided by engineering, into machine terminals.
Prepare material prior to cutting.
Load/unload plywood, plastic, foam, sheets to and finished parts from the machine.
Perform additional assembly and fabrication, value-add processes to parts during cut time.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Assist in quality assurance.
Participate in product testing of prototypes to aid the design process.
Continually improve machine and department performance and quality.
Communicate with engineering, supervision and various production cells.
