Omnicare, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of CVS Health Corporation. Directly, and through our subsidiaries, Omnicare provides a broad array of pharmacy-related services to long term care facilities and to other customers in the health care environment. While senior care has long been an Omnicare specialty, we also serve other targeted populations.

As a Therapeutic Interchange Pharmacy Technician at our Clinical Intervention Center, you will be responsible for the coordination of activities related to the Omnicare Patient Specific Therapeutic Interchange (PSTI) Program, including but not limited to PSTI preparation, reconciliation and communication with other staff as needed.

Hours are Monday-Friday, 12 PM - 8:30 PM, with one rotating weekend every 5 weeks after training. Technicians work one major holiday per year.

Primary Responsibilities
You will:

*Generate PSTI orders, verify coverage and compliance with Omnicare protocols
*Process incoming PSTI responses and route to pharmacy for processing
*Upload/process prescriber and facility FFTI documents
*Review and manage Esker failed faxes
*Communicate with facility staff to verify correct prescriber information, when necessary
*Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
*Display behavior which exemplifies employee code of conduct guidelines.
*Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary by location.

The most successful Pharmacy Technicians possess strong verbal and written communication skills and are proficient in data entry and Microsoft Office programs.

Required Qualifications
Pharmacy Technician Registration in IL required. If not already registered, must get registered upon accepting offer.
* Must be proficient in data entry and Microsoft Office programs.

Preferred Qualifications
6 months to one year full-time Pharmacy experience preferred
*Certified Pharmacy Technician highly recommended

High School degree or equivalent.
