Atlanta Studio has an immediate need for a Sr Interior Designer.The Sr. Interior Designer is responsible for
all conventional aspects of technical design/architectural principles of a
project. Plans and conducts evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation
and modification of standard design techniques and procedures on a
project.Builds client relations and
supports the Design Director in identifying new opportunities.
Day to day responsibility for developing design concepts, based on
the programming requirements and budget parameters and coordinating project
Coordinates activities of team engaged in preparing construction
and furniture drawings and specifications.
Responsible for manpower budgets, project cost controls and
interpreting contracted scope of work.
Coordinates with outside consultants.
Reviews and/or develops specifications.
Coordinates engineering disciplines with Project Manager
Reviews and monitors construction and furnishings budget.
Implements established design schedule ensuring milestone reviews.
Responsible for code research, including obtaining necessary
Provides project administration and QA/QC process.
Works with Project Lead in obtaining bids and awarding
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides
informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to
coworkers.May lead project teams and/or
plan and supervise assignments of lower level employees.
B.A. or B.F.A. in Interior Design from Council for Interior Design Accreditation curriculum or B.A. in Architecture from accredited architectural curriculum (National Architectural Accrediting Board or Canadian Architectural Certification Board).
9+ years' experience.
Experience with commercial/ institutional/complex building types
Experienced with Revit, Photoshop, AutoCAD, Sketch-UP and Adobe Suite.
Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail
Ability to present and articulate ideas and analyses
Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity and complex challenges
Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate willingness to take on new responsibilities
Ability to work independently upon receiving direction from others

NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) certification
