Successful candidate(s) will be exposed to Product Engineering from design to implementation. They will be employing Value-Add Engineering when possible in specific projects to enhance end-user experience. Candidates will be using state-of -the-art technology to reverse engineer current products as well as to create new products or improve existing products for use in the field based on user feedback and direct observation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Create 3D CAD parts using SolidWorks CAD software
Create complete Mechanical drawings based on 3D part designs
Draft robust product specifications based on reverse engineering techniques, end user requirements and ancillary product information.
Interpret supplier drawings to create accurate 3D CAD parts in SolidWorks
Use Mitutoyo CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) and ST Vision System to complete dimensional analysis as required
Create prototypes using 3D Printer
Use Shore's D hardness gage as required
Use Mitutoyo Roughness Gage (Ra values) to determine surface finish
Complete First Article Inspection using SPC (Statistical Process Control) methodology to release new product
Create validation protocols based on SME (Subject Matter Expert) input
Bachelors or Masters in Chemical Engineering
1-2 years working within an engineering capacity (including internship)

Basic/Intermediate knowledge of project management
Basic/Intermediate knowledge of mechanical design and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Basic/Intermediate Understanding of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) using SolidWorks
Basic/Intermediate skills in data analysis, statistical analysis, and process capability analysis
Basic/Intermediate understanding of dimensional analysis using both Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and Vision System technologies.
Basic/Intermediate understating of linear force measurement, torque measurement and pressure testing.
Basic/Intermediate understating of techniques related to accelerated life testing and stress testing.
Computer applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MiniTab or similar statistical analysis software, Outlook.
