Position:Executive Director of Development We are searching for a dynamic, entrepreneurial and creative self-starter who is dedicated to the mission and important work of RCC to be our new Executive Director of Development. RCC's Executive Director of Development will assemble team members and volunteers to raise support that will help our extraordinary students thrive and succeed. This person will have the ability to tell our important story to the world, engage our community and be a champion of RCC and our students.
Build and Nurture Important Relationships
Help our donors accomplish their philanthropic goals and ambitions through a relationship with RCC.
Maintain long-term relationships with existing donors and identify and build relationships with new and prospective donors and friends.
Make direct, face-to-face solicitations and build relationships.
Engage our dedicated alumni and build alumni support and engagement.
Report on program progress to senior management, the Foundation Board and Board of Trustees.
Work closely with RCC faculty, staff and President's Cabinet on campaigns and engagement, and direct employee fundraising drives and initiatives.
Manage Talented Staff and Build Volunteer Base
Manage a talented, mission-driven team.
Work closely and partner with Strategic Marketing and Institutional Research departments in order to reach fundraising and engagement goals.
Recruit, train, and support key volunteers for Foundation Board and Alumni Board to assist in advancement efforts.
Plan and Build a Dynamic Development Operation
Generate new ideas that increase revenue and donor loyalty and build the RCC community.
Develop and execute our annual fundraising plan with the goal of raising about $500K annually.
Oversee the development budget and monitor expenses.
Design and direct the annual fund program, including mailings and annual fundraising drives.
Direct capital campaigns and other major fundraising drives.
Oversee private foundation grant-seeking, including research, proposal writing, and reporting requirements.
Maintain gift recognition programs.
Manage systems and software (Raisers Edge) to track and cultivate donors and prospects, including our donor database and wealth screening tools.
Administer signature fundraising and donor stewardship events.
An earned bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization Eight (8) or more years of leadership and management experience.
Master's Degree and experience with Development. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Raisers Edge. Include three (3) professional references (including names, phone numbers and e-mail addresses). References will not be contacted without prior permission of the candidate.
