Job Responsibilities

As an Environmental Compliance Engineer you will be joining a team that strives to do the right thing with making sure our products are compliant with various environmental regulations.

Tasks to be performed include:

  • Assisting with special compliance projects
  • Learning compliance certifications and regulations such as RoHS3, REACh, WEEE, Prop 65 analyzing regulatory changes and providing a risk assessment of those changes
  • Reviewing components and interfacing with external suppliers for compliance data and compiling this data into environmental compliance tool, and working directly with Environmental Engineering Senior Leadership.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Materials Engineering, or a similar related major
  • Able to commit to a 10-12 week internship
  • Experience with process improvement
  • Project Management skills or working knowledge of Solidworks, or other design tools
  • A strong interest in environmental requirements for product designs and product validation
Preferences
  • Experience with environmental regulations, materials, or other related discipline specifically as it applies to REACh (EC/NO 1907/2006), RoHS3(DIRECTIVE 2011/65/EU, EU 2015/863), WEEE (DIRECTIVE 2012/19/EU), and the Packaging Directive (DIRECTIVE 94/62/EU)
