Job Description Pharmacy Service Representative in our Specialty Mail Order Center. The Pharmacy Service Representative is responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders. This includes verifying/ re-verifying benefits; translating and entering in new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations/ reauthorizations/and screening, identifying, resolving, or deferring orders that have accounts receivable or clinical problems. This individual works with both internal and external customers to ensure that orders are processed in a timely manner and meet all financial and clinical requirements prior to fulfillment. Required Qualifications - Must have an active Pharmacy Technician registration in state of IL, or provide proof of application prior to start date
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with insurance/health care background a plus. - Pharmacy Technician certification a plus
Education Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required
