Service TechnicianKendall Electric, Inc. a leading regional full-line Electrical Distributor is seeking an ambitious, self-motivated individual for a Service Technician position.Position Summary: The primary responsibility of this role is to serve as a Service Technician for various service and solution offerings that Kendall Electric is offering as paid for services. The service offerings will include Installed Based Evaluations (IBEs) and Drive Start-Ups. These are initial service offerings as part of an Authorized Services Provider program with Rockwell Automation. Additional services offerings will be offered as the program develops. As a Service Technician, the individual will perform various technical tasks based on a time and material type basis without a scope. The technician will be responsible for completing the service work and all correlating paperwork associated with a job. The secondary responsibility of this position will be other tasks provided by the supervisor that may or may not be related to the primary job responsibilities.Position Description:This position is responsible for providing Kendall Electric services as defined within the East Tennessee, Northwest Georgia and Alabama area:
Working with customers to define a Scope of Work that both parties agree upon.
Provide project and services work proposals.
Completing the services and solutions provided in the Scope of Work.
Work on a time and material type basis for various services and solutions.
Prepare and provide summary and final customer documentation at completion of work.
Demonstrated knowledge & understanding of Automation, Power, and Industrial Control
Knowledge of control systems and computer technology.
Knowledge of Industrial Networks (Ethernet/IP).
Strong Automation Control / HMI application knowledge.
Understand and knowledge of motion control and mechanical solutions.
Able to read an electrical one-line diagram.
Basic understanding of motor control, harmonics, and regeneration.
Basic understanding of motion control and mechanical concepts.
Knowledge around Rockwell Automation's Intelligent Motor Control, VFDs, and Kinetix is a plus.
Knowledge & understanding of Safety and Sensing concepts.
Strong interpersonal communications, analytical and problem solving, organizational and written/verbal communication skills required.
Ability to influence and guide team members when required.
Other responsibilities may be added to this role based on the applicants skill set.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Technology diploma in related technical field or Master Electrician designation or equivalent experience is required.
