As Production Editor you will be responsible for managing the production process from manuscript submission to electronic publication for a selected number of journals of moderate to high complexity. You will be managing relationships with editorial offices, overseeing and reviewing vendor work, conducting setup of copy for production and performing other quality control steps.
The Production Editor is responsible for ensuring the journals meet expected publication targets and responsible for ensuring that KPIs are met through production process. Coordinate with internal and external colleagues to ensure they are kept apprised of the journals' progress in a timely fashion.
The Production Editor is responsible for ensuring the vendors' performance is closely monitored to ensure that the results meet Wiley standards and KPIs.
A key responsibility is tracking and meeting journal schedules; assembling articles into issues; monitoring page budgets. Approving release of assigned issues at all publication stages.
College/university degree or equivalent
Proven track record in publishing production environment
Ability to manage large workload effectively and within deadlines
Emphasis on quality of content, attention to details
Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
