This role will own the relationship with assigned Global and /or Regional seafood suppliers, manage the Seafood category, ensuring that Rich's requirements for delivery, quality, cost and safety are met, and that Rich's Values are maintained throughout the supply base.
Develop and maintain a long-term sourcing roadmap identifying key sourcing opportunities.
Implement cost savings initiatives, by working with internal business partners to understand the key business requirements, identifying capital requirements, developing business cases and being the Procurement lead for the implementation of the project.
Negotiate supplier agreements, providing the maximum total cost of ownership benefit, and optimization of supply chain requirements.
Develop key supplier metrics, conduct periodic reviews, and provide daily management of suppliers including Supply Chain support for: forecasting, pricing, invoicing and inventory levels.
Responsible for key financial analytics supporting the completion of critical reports including, monthly financial projections. Present market reports to key stakeholders including, executive leaders, business leads and customers.
Collaborate with marketing and R&D to drive innovation and commercialize new products through identification of suppliers, providing product cost to meet P&L objectives, identifying product supply chain challenges/opportunities, and providing commodity expertise to develop business plan.
Provide leadership to and mentor other team members, as well as, developing best practices for processes, such as; supplier relationship management, financial and supplier risk mitigation, and negotiations.
Bachelor's degree with a minimum 10 years job related experience in the seafood industry.
Strong understanding of seafood quality including food safety, food fraud, and responsible sourcing certifications.
Experience in global seafood markets, including international logistics, ocean freight, brokerage and tariffs.
Excellent financial analysis and strong negotiation skills.
Experience with complex data modeling and complex data management.
Will include international and domestic travel, up to 40%.
Working Knowledge of SAP or similar systems.
