Provides leadership in the design, implementation, administration, and maintenance of compensation programs, commission and/or incentive programs. Leads the compensation area, ensuring that the compensation programs deliver competitive pay for competitive performance and enable the achievement of the ServiceMaster strategic plan.
Leads the design, strategy, and policy development of salaried broad-based compensation programs which include position evaluation, salary structures, merit matrices, salary range development, market pricing studies, and special reporting.
Partners with the external consultant in the preparation of all Board of Director Compensation Committee meeting materials, proxy and other compensation related filings, manage record keeping and other compliance requirements.
Partners with various field operations, sales teams and business unit management to understand business drivers impacting the Compensation Program and proactively reviews and evaluates results to lead the resolution of a variety of compensation-related and sales operations issues and concerns.
Oversees the design and administration of Company's equity program and executive compensation programs for officers and key executives that align with the strategic plan.
Designs compensation plans that are aligned with the company's business objectives and talent strategy, while ensuring the achievement of consistent and market-driven levels of compensation.
Provides strategic direction in the development of competitive base and variable pay structures; job classification methodology; merit and incentive programs.
Oversees compensation plans to meet regulatory compliance and governance/audit requirements, consults with legal resources and stays abreast of developing legislation and its potential impact.
Oversees the annual salary increase/merit program and promotion and designs, manages and models incentive programs that link pay to performance.
Develops and designs effective compensation related communications to Leaders and Team Members.
Leads in the development and implementation of innovative education, tools, guidelines and communication approaches to promote understanding and good practices.
Leads the increase of compensation effectiveness through improved technology and processes.
Leads a team of compensation professionals providing training, coaching, and guidance; encourages and supports individual talent development.
Bachelors Degree, Master's preferred Certification in Compensation or Executive Compensation plus
10+ years experience in large, diversified company in the management of all phases of compensation and staff
Strong planning, analytical, and influencing skills
Strong business and financial acumen skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to partner with and influence all management levels
Advanced knowledge of business practices and problem resolution
Proven track record of delivering results
Demonstrated ability to attract and develop talent
