Parsons Cyber is seeking to hire talented, ambitious, and disciplined full-stack senior software engineers to join a growing team supporting its Cyber Command-and-Control platform. Additionally, keen insight into good DevOps and engineering processes will continue to streamline and improve our teams performance.
As a senior software engineer you will:
- Provide creative input to designers, engineers, and product managers seeking to propose solutions to new product requirements
- Work across a diverse team of UX designers and product managers to realize prototyped solutions of requirements into functional software
- Develop, test, and deploy a secure, scalable, and distributed enterprise-grade Cyber Command-and-Control software platform
- Design, test, and integrate RESTful API endpoints for both server-to-server and server-to-client interactions
- Build high-quality, tested, and performant applications employing computer science best practices
- Lead a team of junior developers to foster their growth
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
8+ years of software engineering experience
5+ years of full-stack web development experience using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (or similar technologies like Rails, Spring MVC/REST, MVC .NET)
3+ years of building single-page applications using JS and React (or similar technologies like Angular, Vue)
Experience using Linux and developing applications that run on Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc)
Experience with service-oriented architecture, micro services, and containerization using Docker
Experience with single page application frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue, etc.)
Familiarity with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
Familiarity with message queuing systems (e.g. RabbitMQ/AMQP, ZeroMQ, etc.)
Familiarity with key-value stores (e.g. Redis, etcd, etc.)
Familiarity with large file storage (e.g. S3, minio, etc.)
Familiarity with HTTP and design patterns applicable to RESTful web applications
Familiarity with asynchronous design patterns and websockets
Familiarity with agile process and test-driven development
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. git, subversion, mercurial)
Familiarity with build tools (webpack, gulp, grunt, etc.)
Familiarity with containers and container orchestration via docker, docker compose, kubernetes, and helm
General knowledge of computer architecture, computer networks, and operating systems
ABILITY TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A TS/SCI
Advanced knowledge of computer architecture, computer networks, and operating systems
Experience in ethical hacking, cyber-security, or other relevant background
Familiarity with configuration management software such as ansible
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain, or currently possess Prescreen Required clearance.
