Summary This position is a support position for the Product Engineering Team in West Warwick, RI. Candidate is responsible for tracking and implementing all Drafting required for ECO changes by the requested completion date. Also required to work with Item Creation Team (off-site) to ensure that all BOM changes have been reviewed/approved and implemented per the ECO Request completion date.
Completion of drafting work to support ECO Request work load
Coordinate and run ECO weekly meeting with cross functional team to acquire approvals
Communicate with ECO Request initiator if requested completion date must slip
Completion of Engineering Item Attributes to support Item Creation Team on all new part numbers
Release drawings for production upon completion and approval of ECO
Ability to manage own time to work on and complete multiple ECO's in parallel
Drafting - professional level of both 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks as well as AutoCAD 2D drawings. Must have excellent 2D drafting competency on view layout and how dimensions and details should be shown on a drawing.
Coordinating - must be able to communicate well with cross functional team to keep everyone up to speed with ECO changes that have been submitted by working closely with the Item Creation Team and making all interested parties aware of any date slippage that may occur.
Supporting - Engineering Team with 3D modeling and prototype drawings during product development phase for 3D printing and quoting purposes.
Engineering Attributes - completion of excel spread sheet for all new items to include engineering specifications for Item Creation Team.
PDM Administrator - Initiating, checking and releasing CAD files using work flow
Software - SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PDM, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Drafting - Solid knowledge and experience with drawing layouts, detailing and GD&T
Communication - Comfortable working in a team environment and with cross-functional departments
Associates in MCT/Drafting
Education Associates or equivalent
