Day to day operations, maintenance, and lead of Mechanical Plant & Plumbing infrastructure, Building Management Systems, operations of Thermal Energy Storage & maintaining an inventory of mechanical spare parts. Maintain accurate environmental logs on all pieces of mechanical equipment. Forecasting of growth & mechanical load. On-call rotation.
Job Requirements and Preferences:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma
Minimum Years of Experience: 4 year(s) in progressive roles focused on working in Data Center with large scale mechanical systems and managing Data Center BMS systems.
Degree Preferred: Bachelor Degree
Preferred Fields of Study: Mechanical Engineering
Demonstrates extensive-level, abilities success with managing the identification and addressing of client needs:
Understanding mechanical engineering theory and application in a Data Center environment;
Learning a diverse skill set of all the team role within the Facilities team to increase efficiencies;
Managing many projects and responsibilities simultaneously with minimal oversight while effectively applying knowledge and experience to ad hoc situations;
Interfacing effectively with people at all levels of the Firm and utilizing available resources within the Firm;
Maintaining self proficiency through continuous learning and other professional development activities including seeking growth opportunities for development, sharing knowledge, and staying current with American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) standard;
Navigating critical deadlines form several points of contact;
Coaching GDC facilities staff on mechanical systems operations;
Demonstrating proven ability to continuously strive to maximize mechanical power usage effectiveness (PUE);
Monitoring and maintaining all Environmental systems in the Data Center;
Developing comprehensive SOP Database of all mechanical systems;
Performing and publishing monthly metrics on key mechanical systems components;
Overseeing the installation and commissioning of new pieces of mechanical equipment;
Performing Daily Environmental Walk-thru, recording the mechanical data, and synthesizing it into monthly metrics that delineate Key performance indicators (KPI); and,
Managing vendors of all Facilities related maintenance.
