ENERCON Services is currently seeking an experienced Substation Engineering Supervisor in the Atlanta,GA area. This is a unique and challenging opportunity to lead others to success in area of Substation design, work on exciting projects and through good business, grow our bottom line revenue and our reputation as a leader in the Engineering Consultation industry. The individual selected for this position will have a natural ability to coach and mentor others, help with client proposals, project scope and assign team talent to project duties.
This individual will have the Key Responsibilities to:• Develop documentation and design of complex electrical transmission and distribution analyses• Provide coaching, mentoring and development support to group of assigned engineering associates• Develop models and design specifications for electrical systems• Become the responsible engineer for development of Electrical Substation Modification and Equipment Replacement Packages• Work with Project Manager, Lead Engineer and Client to ensure a quality on-time deliverable, within budget• Understand scope definition, budget development and developing exceptions and comments in support of Requests for ProposalsAs a qualified candidate, you will have the above experience and meet the below requirements:• B.S. in EE, from an accredited university; M.S. degree a plus• A full understanding of high voltage and medium voltage electrical system design applications• 10+ years of experience in T&D system design and analysis• Experience in electrical codes, standards and criteria for power systems• Broad knowledge of industry and regulatory standards pertaining to the electrical transmission and distribution industry• Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of electrical calculations• A strong understanding of electrical system hardware and wiring design• Experience in protection & control and solid state relay protection systems a plus• ETAP and CDEGS software experience a plus• A PE license is a plus• Must have excellent communication skills• Ability to be an individual contributor on complex tasks and work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team• Proficient in Word and Excel• Must be able to gain authorization/clearance to access regulated electric utility facilities• Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings,• Ability to pass ENERCON and client Specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policies• Ability to travel between 10-15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks.
