Job Description


A career in Risk Management, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to advance and foster integrity based decision making and conduct by PwC professionals throughout our organisation. You'll focus on promoting and monitoring compliance with applicable external laws and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures to help manage PwC's regulatory, litigation, and reputational risk. Our Consultations team is responsible for handling PwC employee inquiries telephonically and via email. As part of the team, you'll answer calls, research required information using available resources, and manage and resolve customer complaints. You will also be responsible for documenting information, identifying and escalating priority issues and following up with the relevant party.


As a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Directors and above
  • Be involved in the financial management of clients
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Develop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for our clients
  • Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team
  • Shape and deliver projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria
  • Train, coach, and supervise team members
  • Continue to develop internal relationships and developing your PwC brand

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrates proven intimate knowledge of AICPA, SEC, IFAC and GAO Independence rules. Demonstrates proven intimate knowledge of corporate structures of varying complexities, including private equity structures and investment companies.

Demonstrates proven intimate abilities and/or success in the following areas for a global network of professional consulting services firms, including the following areas:
- Working with a team to assist engagement teams across the globe with Independence assessments;
- Having daily communication with engagement teams in the assurance practice;
- Analyzing situations requiring Independence assessments for potential new audit clients, carve-outs and mergers and acquisitions;
- Leading the review of information provided by the engagement teams such that information can be assessed to identify services, relationships and fee structures globally that could impair the firms' independence;
- Consulting with professionals throughout a global organization regarding the application of independence regulations set out by the SEC, AICPA, IFAC and firm policies;
- Communicating with members of project teams globally; - Working collaboratively with other leaders on consultations or projects involving cross or multiple lines of service;
- Demonstrating proactively strategic thought leadership;
- Developing training material specific to client acceptance business issues;
- Participating on special projects, as needed;
- Succeeding in a rule-based environment;
- Leveraging oral and written communication skills to team with individuals across a matrix organization and deliver difficult messages;
- Leading a team of professionals in performing independence assessments; and,
- Conducting research on difficult technical topics.
