Summary The New Product Development (NPD) engineer will lead all technical research and development in support of new product development efforts. They will interface with internal and external stakeholders to advance key technical work streams and product design efforts. The engineer will be responsible for technical evaluation in support of product design and improvements. This individual will be asked to improve upon the performance and design of existing products. Also, they will conduct risk evaluations of new product designs to determine potential failure modes and subsequent safeguards.
Product Development: Lead technical research to accelerate NPD efforts. Creation of technical design briefs and product specifications. Conduct design evaluations and communicate key design risks to stakeholders.
Voice of Customer: Participate in consumer and customer research in order to establish a link between potential new offerings and an ability to execute.
Partners: Establish deep technical external partnerships in support of our business strategies.
Building connections: Establish deep technical partnerships with our corporate engineering, plant engineering and corporate technology teams.
Desired Experience Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 5+ years of work experience, or equivalent experience.
