The Senior Strategy Analyst role is positioned to support against these requirements. Part of the HOS Business Strategy team, reporting to the Director, Strategy & Transformation, Hospitality with a focus on:
Market Intelligence: Eyes and ears to follow and analyses the HOS market and identify the external movement impact for TravelClick/Amadeus, providing a succinct list of response options if necessary.
Growth Strategy: Ownership of focused long-term development of business strategy options to drive new growth in HOS; identifying, sizing, prioritizing and in some cases owning business development against key growth initiatives until item mature enough for BU ownership.
Market definition – clearly define the value streams TravelClick/Amadeus Hospitality will deliver, against a clearly segmented customer landscape, driving a customer-centric focus across the BU.
Industry dynamics – anticipate and assess long-term market movements, at a global level with top management, and at a regional level with key regional stakeholders.
Competitive intelligence – keep a robust update on key competitor movements and assess impact to TravelClick/Amadeus and propose actions if required.
External investment pipeline/process management – identify, assess and filter in detail potential acquisition targets, defining long-term pipeline (including Venture opportunities).
Identify strategic growth opportunities – and assess execution options to support long-term business strategy within portfolio units (focus on immature growth markets, e.g. GMS).
Key growth markets – develop robust market entry strategy for key growth markets (starting with China), to include; market intelligence, legal and resource setup, partnership setup, product positioning, go-to-market models, …
Innovation strategy – champion the identification and incubation of internal & external innovation ventures to enhance business and progress the HOS H3 pipeline.
Bachelor’s degree required
3+ years relevant experience, including a successful track record of developing and implementing business strategy, financial modeling and analysis, competitive analysis, and business planning.
3+ of project management experience.
Fluent in Mandarin and English.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Intermediate).
10% travel required.
Relevant Master's degree beneficial but not required.
Pragmatic sense of business acumen, problem solving abilities, creativity, and great people skills.
Superior communication skills — including writing, editing and verbal capabilities.
Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively with all levels of management, with the capability to guide, educate, and influence the thinking of senior decision makers.
Experience within the travel industry, and preferably within the Hospitality industry.
