Job Description

WGI is an award-winning national consulting firm providing land planning, civil engineering, landscape architecture, transportation, geospatial services, and parking solutions, with our corporate headquarters in West Palm Beach, FL. The firm has offices throughout the U.S. and provides a comprehensive range of infrastructure services to a diverse client base in over 30 states. We are seeking a Sr. Project Manager for our Geospatial Division in Melbourne, FL.

Job Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will possess 5 to 7 years of post-registration experience, a bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive surveying and mapping experience. 
  • This position requires registration as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in Florida or a licensed Professional Surveyor in another state with the ability to obtain licensure within 18 months of hire.
  • Construction survey experience on large rail and/or heavy civil infrastructure projects a plus.
  • The candidate should also have some knowledge of CAD software such as MicroStation and/or Civil 3D, as well as a thorough understanding of reviewing files for geometry and constructability.
  • A strong understanding of how large civil construction projects are organized and constructed is necessary.
  • Must have strong organization and communication skills  



  • The current position, located in Melbourne, is a management position at this time, in support of a large rail construction project along the east coast of Florida.  This position reports to the Program Manager for the project and will have a large team of associates reporting daily to the management team.
  • Having the ability to work with a variety of construction project managers and engineers is also required.
  • While the position will not require a hands-on understanding of operating field equipment such as total stations, static scanners, GPS, digital levels, advanced as-built trolley systems, etc., the knowledge of how and when to use the different technologies will be helpful.
