Working with the businesses, you and your team will drive sustainable top and bottom-line growth through supplier innovation, best-in-class margin and cash management, and highly efficient source-to-pay processes.
The Manager (Region North America) CAPEX Sourcing, Processing Machinery, Equipment and Services is a North American-based member of a Global network, tasked to develop and execute asset acquisition strategies in support of Mondelēz International's manufacturing, supply chain and infrastructure. S/he helps reinforce competitive advantage by building winning supplier partnerships and effectively managing company resources. Working primarily with projects under the aegis of the North American Business Units, the Manager (Region North America) CAPEX Sourcing, Processing Machinery, Equipment and Services drives bottom-line growth through supplier innovation, best-inclass margin, cash management and source-to-pay processes. His/her tasks include supplier assessments, vendor qualification and coordination of duties associated with acquisition of Machinery, Equipment and Services for Region North America business needs. S/he works in collaboration with our cross-functional network, Mondelez Procurement Operations and CAPEX colleagues while ensuring compliance with policies, strategies and processes.
1. Support CAPEX strategy development and planning
Executеs Processing Machinery, Equipment and Services strategies to ensure supplier selection supports regional and global business expectations.
Implements global supplier negotiation strategy and process (consistent with all relevant OpCo and GSCP protocols).
Supports strategies execution with focus in region North America
2. Leverage sourcing specialists and regional implementation managers to build knowledge and insights
Aligns CAPEX sourcing to business needs, market insights, risks and opportunities; assists Procurement colleagues in the execution of contracts and supplier master agreements.
Helps build fact base via internal and external benchmarking as part of the sourcing strategy.
Supports Mondelēz International Leadership Imperatives and Values to drive end-to-end value delivery for Processing Machinery, Equipment and Services CAPEX.
Supports team achievement of goals and KPIs in accordance with the global Procurement vision.
3. Support CAPEX stakeholder engagement, collaboration of teams, and supplier relationships
Connects with functional stakeholders, suppliers and internal Procurement teams.
Leads global supplier relationship management (SRM) for assigned suppliers of Processing Machinery, Equipment and Services. Coordinates commercial relationships and administers global agreements and contracts with suppliers of same.
4. Regional focused sourcing for selected CAPEX Category Spend Areas
Executes initiatives such as bid events, supplier negotiation, risk management and quality issues impacting multiple regions.
5. Execute margin and working capital agenda
Executes Total Cost of Ownership reduction opportunities for Processing Machinery, Equipment and Services.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Language Requirements
1. Knowledge: including education, qualifications and training
Bachelor's Degree (Economic or Engineering focus preferred) - Required
MBA, Procurement Professional Qualification - Preferred
2. Skills/Leadership Competencies
Strategic Sourcing and Negotiation - Required
Project Management and Communication - Required
Relationship Management - Required
People and Change Management - Preferred
Minimum four (4) years Procurement and Supply Chain or related CAPEX-specific experience - Required
Knowledge of Industrial Procurement - Preferred
Fluent spoken / written English - Required
