We are currently looking for a GIS Supervisor for our Owensboro, KY office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
In this role, you will be responsible for the day to day supervision of the GIS data processes, data editing/updates, reporting, analysis, and map production and will supervise five GIS analysts, delegate activities and manage a balanced workload among staff members. You will prepare work activities, manage yearly GIS projects, ensure project forecasting is accurate, anticipate budgeting obstacles and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, you will conduct yearly staff performance reviews and create a positive work environment ensuring expectations are met and building leadership and accountable behaviors along with public and pipeline safety as the highest priority. You will also complete\assist with\submit applicable PHMSA compliance reporting such as 7100, 7000, NPMS, TRRC and LADNR required documentation and will assist with and supports PHMSA, TRRC, LANDR audits. You will ensure pipeline asbuilting projects have been reviewed and created in PODS GIS SDE database and will have working knowledge of CFR 192\195, B31.8S.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
*Thorough experience with ArcGIS 10.x series of software, to include ArcGIS, ArcCatalog, ArcSDE, ArcToolbox, Modelbuilder and extensions
*Experience interpreting aerial photography features and understanding of basic photo interpretation guidelines
*Experience with advanced spatial analysis
*Experience with ESRI Model Builder
*Experience creating and managing GIS Spatial and Relational databases
*Experience using enterprise geodatabases, editing and versioning
*Experience with linear referencing
*Experience with ArcGIS Portal or ArcGIS Online
*Working knowledge of coordinate systems and datums
*Understanding of cartographic principles
*Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
*Strong written and oral communication skills
*Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
*Experience managing GIS projects
*Highly organized
*Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Engineering or related field
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
*Experience with CFR 192 subpart 0
*Experience of ASME B31 8S
*Working knowledge of HCA and Class calculations
*Experience with Python Scripting
*Experience with SQL and MS Access
*Project management experience
*Experience with Natural Gas or Liquid Pipeline GIS systems
*Understanding of HCA and Class interpretations
*Working knowledge of stationing and equations
*Experience with petroleum pipeline As-Builts and Hydro Test data, interpreting, reviewing and transferring data from paper records into linear referenced electronic GIS data
*Experience with PODS 5.0, ESRI APDM database or PODS Spatial
*Previous supervisor experience managing direct reports
