Weapons M&S Modeling:

Candidate will be providing physics-based modeling and simulation support to various weapons programs. The candidate will be required to develop, modify, and use weapon simulation software such as 6 degree-of-freedom (6DOF) models and sensor environment simulators to support engineering and programmatic decisions. Typical studies include: pre- and post-flight analysis of weapons systems, engagement envelopes, sensor performance, component and algorithm capability trade-off studies, flight stability analysis, etc. The candidate will interface with other teams and systems engineers to provide engineering and analytical support to both new and fielded weapons systems.

Skills: The candidate should possess strong analytical skills and a solid mathematical and science/engineering background. Ideally, the candidate will possess systems engineering experience with an emphasis in missile modeling and simulation. Knowledge/experience in dynamics, aerodynamics, as well as guidance and control systems is desirable. Computer programming skills are required. 

Knowledge of at least one higher order language (FORTRAN, Ada, C, or C++) is highly desired and familiarity with Matlab and Simulink is also desirable. The position requires the ability to work with both real-time and non-real-time simulations, such as hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) and computer-in-the-loop (CiL) simulations. Additionally, knowledge of distributed simulations would be highly valued. The candidate also must also be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and work well in a team environment. Furthermore, the applicant must be able to document the results of analyses and studies in technical reports and supporting PowerPoint presentations. 

Education: BS/MS in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Aerospace, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or Math.  

Experience: Prefer a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience.

Candidate must possess an active Security clearance.
