Job Description

The American Academy of Pediatrics is seeking an individual to assist with day-to-day activities in the Print and Mail Center, plus perform back-up Receptionist duties.  Ideal hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00am – 2:30pm, and there may be some flexibility on start and end times.

Some tasks include:
•    Assist with utilizing the Print Center digital storefront to manage copy and print jobs in the queue within requested production timelines.
•    Support production tasks such as processing print and copy orders in an efficient, accurate manner.
•    Provide accurate information to staff about Print Center products and services, production capabilities, and order turnaround.
•    Assist with creating, printing, and stocking AAP branded envelopes and with typesetting and printing business cards.
•    Assist with sorting and delivering all incoming mail and packages and with processing outbound mail and packages.
•    Assist with preparing AAP bulk mailings including mail merge addressing of envelopes, collating and inserting, and postage metering.
•    Assist with pick-up and processing of outgoing metered mail. Maintain all staff floor mail centers in a neat and orderly condition.
•    Serve as staff backup for the Print and Mail Centers and Reception as needed.

Candidates should possess:
•    High school diploma or equivalent required.  
•    2-3 months general office support or customer service experience required.
•    Experience in mail room and/or print center a plus.
•    Must have good interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills and be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
•    Good mechanical and technical aptitude preferred, as well as, some knowledge of MS Office.
•    Ability to work flexible hours and some overtime may be required.
