As part of our Corporate & Government Affairs (CGA) team, you'll shape and tell our company story and act as an advocate for growing our business responsibly. You will help build the Mondelēz International corporate brand and reputation, both globally and locally.
The Senior Manager, Sustainability & ESG Communications, will play a critical role in elevating the company's reputation by developing and delivering an integrated communications plan in support of our sustainable and mindful snacking strategy and our broader environmental, social and governance objectives. The position is responsible for managing and executing the external and internal communications activities that will support the roll out of our corporate sustainability and mindful snacking efforts and our progress reporting, as well as communications that support our issues management and advocacy activities. Working with the Senior Director, External Communications, the role will interact with senior leaders within the Corporate and Legal Affairs function, as well as in the broader organisation.
In cooperation with the Senior Director, External Communications, and Corporate Affairs LT members, develop a comprehensive integrated communications plan for sustainable and mindful snacking, as well as environmental, social and governance (ESG) topics, that aligns with the overall corporate Purpose and strategy.
Take responsibility for planning, creating and leveraging corporate content (social and digital content, presentations, news releases, reports, messaging, talking points) relating to sustainability and mindful snacking, ensuring consistency, accuracy and alignment with corporate strategies.
Create and implement proactive media and outreach plans for senior executives and sustainability leaders in the organisation, creating opportunities for MDLZ to tell its story externally with relevant audiences. In partnership with External Communications team, Impact team members and the Cocoa Life Communications Manager, develop speaches, by-lined articles and digital content as required relating to our sustainability efforts.
"Bring the Outside In" by monitoring and reporting on trends and developments relating to other organisations' efforts to communicate their sustainability activities in ways that are actionable for MDLZ. Collaborate across the organisation to effectively leverage our internal resources and engage colleagues in other regions and markets in developing and executing communications activities.
Use internal and external social and digital platforms to proactively tell our story, champion our achievements, update on our progress and explain sensititive topics to colleagues, consumers and media.
Develop proactive and strategic communications plans on major topics and initiatives.
T ake responsibility for messaging and content relating to Sustainability on our digital platforms internally and externally.
Support the roll out of programmes and activities internally with thoughtful and effective communications plans.
Manage agency relationships as required.
Minimum of Bachelors degree in communications/PR, marketing or equivalent work experience
5-7 years of progressively responsible professional experience, with a PR Agency or Journalistic background preferred
Deep experience in and passion for sustainability, with relevant recent experience in communications specifically relating to this field.
