Job Description

Candidate will serve as the billing liaison to the Home Health/Hospice programs and be responsible for preparation, tracking and transmission of electronic billing for Medicare Home Health and Medicare/MaineCare Hospice.  The Billing Coordinator is responsible for claims submission through the Medicare remote access system, bi-weekly uploads, and processing of the Medicare remittances and payments and will also perform periodic account reconciliation, financial reporting, and maintain all applicable billing information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

Job Requirements

Previous experience with Home Health, Hospice, Outpatient/Primary Care billing, and general accounting functions is preferred. Associates degree in related field of study and three years of billing experience required or an equivalent combination of both. Must have knowledge of Third Party reimbursement and medical terminology, along with good oral communication and organizational skills.
