The perfect candidate should have no less than six months experience with a class A license, demonstrating safety, flexibility and problem-solving throughout the transportation process. The Driver should be highly familiar with DOT regulations, safety, and both federal and state driving laws.
What winning looks like:
Transport finished goods and raw materials overland to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues.
Plan your routes efficiently.
Communicate timely and professionally with CRT administration, brokers, and customers
Document and log work/rest periods, miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
Use our ELD system with accuracy and consistency.
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route, designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures provided to you in our company handbook.
Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions.
Collect and verify delivery instructions.
Report defects, accidents, and violations as required by law and company policies.
Participate in project planning and scheduled meetings.
Complete regular training as directed by CRT admin.
Ability to drive long hours on a regular basis safely.
No recent moving or driving violations.
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment history and references.
Valid Class A driver’s license.
Current Medical Card
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Successfully pass company driving test
Willingness to abide by CRT standards of service as explained in CRT handbook.
