Job Description

Summary

This is for a private gynecology office near Glendale Adventist Medical Center.  The patient population presents for general annual examinations, surgeries, reproductive endocrine disorders, and infertility/in-vitro fertilization.  The actual number of patients is moderate but the interactions can be quite involved because of the infertile nature of the population.  We are hoping for two hires at part time to full time depending on the level of previous training/experience and patient interaction.  Hours are somewhat flexible but may include 1-2 Saturday half days and checking emails after hours.

We would like to get some training done before the holidays but will be closed 12/24 through 01/02.

Responsibilities

Early phase:

  • Schedule appointments, check insurance coverage, and create charts.
  • Greet patients, perform basic vital signs, and review answers to questionnaire.
  • Collect fees, complete test forms, and sign out patients.
  • Prepare exam rooms with supplies and clean after procedures.
  • Clean and autoclave instruments.
  • Answer phones and call with normal results.
  • Handle laboratory specimens according to OSHA guidelines.
  • Prepare bank deposits and pay bills.

With training:

  • Coordinate infertility/IVF treatments which includes reviewing expected fees, creating a calendar page, completing a check list, and ordering medications.
  • Communicate next steps to patients.
