Employment Status: Full-time, Temporary with the possibility to become probationary / permanent.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., some evening and weekend hours as needed.

Reporting to the Assistant Director for Academic Technologies & Innovation (ATI), the incumbent will assist with researching, evaluating, testing, and designing innovative learning technology for higher education. The incumbent will:
Assist in providing support, innovative approaches and technologies to students, staff, and faculty working with ATI.
Assist in the planning, implementation and management of various immersive technologies platforms;
Assist faculty in integrating emerging information technology into their curricula and participate in software development in support of the campus's information technology requirements.
Help maintain and improve the equipment and systems of the ATI Virtual Reality Lab
Perform other duties as assigned.
Applicants must have:
The equivalent of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
A basic knowledge of computer science and engineering.
Basic working knowledge of operating systems and scripting languages.
Basic hands on experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform or Azure.
Some experience with at least one game engines for virtual reality (Unreal Engine and Unity preferred).
The ability to organize assignments, and meet deadlines is required, along with the ability to work cooperatively with a diverse group of people;
Experience explaining complex technical concepts to a lay audience;
Experience working in an agile team.
Experience with containerization and container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
Experience with machine learning applications
