Criterion Systems, Inc., based out of Vienna, VA is seeking a talented IT Infrastructure Manager to join an exciting and mission focused program in Washington, DC. You should demonstrate your ability to work closely with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Program/Task Manager to execute the project as specified within the Task Order. The role is to plan, direct, and coordinate the design, installation, and connectivity of classified and unclassified computer systems and network infrastructure to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT assets. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links. This role is also responsible for telephone, data center, security systems and other electronic infrastructure. This position is contingent upon successful contract award.
Demonstrated leadership and management skills commensurate with experience level.
Exceptional skills planning, organizing, directing, and controlling overall activities of a project, including project management, technical work, quality–of-work, schedule, and costs.
Exceptional systematic troubleshooting skills
Supervisory, technical, and administrative direction to the staff.
Ability to anticipate problems and risks, and work to mitigate them.
Monitors each task and regularly briefs client management orally and in writing, concerning problems encountered and accomplishments.
Evaluates staff performance and reviews work products on a daily basis.
Responsible for keeping time and budget commitments for the organization.
Investigate customer's problems and find solutions.
Communicate with Federal IT POCs and other support groups
Hire, train, and terminate O&M personnel.
Identify methods to improve technological capabilities, solutions, and processes to meet new business needs
Monitors systems and networks and identifies methods to improve performance
Monitors capacity and recommends/implements enhancements
Ensures maintenance activities are performed
Skilled in major vendor products, such as Microsoft, Cisco, etc
Experienced in various SDLCs (agile, waterfall, et al)
Experienced in VM technology and hypervisors (ie., VMWare)
Experienced with LAN/WAN protocols
Experienced in defining, migrating, and supporting cloud based services
Understand, implement, adhere to federal policies
Maintain risk registers. Recognize risk and recommend/implement mitigation strategies
Understand and comply with organizational change and configuration management policies
Experienced with Network Management Systems and Tools (ie., SolarWinds)
Experienced in COOP planning and routine testing
Bachelor's degree from an accredited University or College in Information Technology or equivalent degree
10+ years of experience performing infrastructure support, operations, and maintenance (hardware and software) with at least 5 of those years serving in in a supervisory role
MCSE or CCIE and ITIL V3 Foundation Certification (Practitioner desired) certifications
Active Public Trust (NACI Tier 4)
Top Secret or DOE Q Clearance
