Criterion Systems, Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity SME II to support a program in Alexandria, VA.
Fully versed in the general tenets supporting the overall DOD implementation of its Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process, to include supporting IA policy, procedures and processes.
Advises and assist the Sponsor’s customers with the lifecycle C&A process and developing Systems Security Plans (SSP). Knowledge of risk management methodology.
Serves as IA Subject Matter Expert with regards to C&A and associated IA policies and procedures. Working knowledge of Certification Testing protocols for Information Systems and Applications.
Works closely with systems developers to identify the appropriate certification/approval processes and authorities. Coordinate C&A actions and system testing with appropriate personnel. Assemble and submit C&A packages to Principal Accreditation Authority/ Designated Accreditation Authority.
Performs a DOD IA C&A process while either certifying an information system or serving as a SME for an information system undergoing certification;
Possess an understanding of how the IA Controls identified in the DOD Instruction 8500 series apply to the process of certifying and accrediting a large organization's IT infrastructure.
Excellent communications skills, written and oral. Ability to quickly assimilate the concept of new applications and relate them to the overall Sponsor IT and computing environments.
Ability to brief senior management on the progress or results of an information system undergoing the C&A process.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree
Minimum of (7) years of experience in Certification and Accreditation requirements and processes.
IAT Level III certification – Must have one of the following: CCNP-Security, CASP CE, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH
CSSP certification – Must have one of the following: CEH, CFR, CSA+, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, SCYBER, SSCP, GSNA
Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
