Job Description

 

Manage Carpentry division to meet company sales/profit goals,  

 develop staff, and build and maintain customer base. 

 

Accountabilities

 

Set and meet sales and profit goals for carpentry division

Identify new markets

Develop and expand customer base with new and/or previous clients

Originate networking opportunities

Cultivate current client relationships

Prepare computerized project bids/estimates

Develop systematic bidding procedures

Prepare and monitor project budgets and costing

Manage carpentry division costs and purchasing

Prepare timely computerized billing

Create and implement management accountability systems

Manage divisional staff

Participate on Safety Committee and enforce company safety policies

Knowledge and Skills Required

 

Proven sales background

10+ years Carpentry background

Computer skills, Microsoft products, and bidding/billing (Timberline a plus)

5+ years managerial experience

Communication and client negotiating skills

Project estimating and budgeting experience

Basic financial statement understanding
