Central Arizona College is looking for dependable and responsible Student Employees to assist with various operational tasks.

Applications are reviewed bi-weekly and assigned based on departmental needs. Student employment positions offer up to 19 hours per week, depending on department needs and eligibility requirements. Please note that students may hold only one position at a time.

Aravaipa Campus:- No positions currently available
Maricopa Campus:- Central Help Desk (one position) Provide front line assistance, triage people entering CAC and educate students about CAC resources. Help conduct campus tours, production of photo ID's (student, community, staff, faculty), answer basic email inquiries, assist with special events, provide general help to registration, admissions, marketing, outreach, advising, financial aid, and student accounts departments. Be first level support for inbound callers to Central Helpdesk line.
- ABE Office Assistant I (one position) Perform general office functions, greet visitors, answer phone calls, receive applications, data entry, prepare forms, perform basic record keeping documents and forms received, and other requests.
- Community Service Officer (one position) A unique opportunity CACPD offers for Central Arizona College students is the Community Service Officer (CSO) program. Students are employed by the police department, trained, and then patrol Central Arizona College properties on golf carts or on foot. CSOs act as the eyes and ears of the police department. CSOs also assist Police Officers by taking certain incident reports. In addition, they assist the college community by responding to requests for escorts, locking/un-locking doors, public assists, and non-criminal matters. CSOs may also assist in other facets of the department such as Property & Evidence, Athletic and other Special Events, Dispatching, Administration, and Investigations.
Signal Peak Campus- Clinical Lab/Phlebotomy Program: (one position) The Clinical Laboratory Assistant Program is actively recruiting student workers for Fall 2025. Student Workers are responsible for setting room up for hands on teaching by the instructor in accordance with the philosophy, vision, mission, policies, and procedures of the college.
- Pence Center:(three positions) Assists in the safe operation and maintenance of theatre sound, lighting, rigging and related equipment and systems used in support of stage productions and related events; assists with a variety of clerical office duties, including data entry and ticket sales; performs related duties as required. Must be able to lift 50lbs and go up and down ladders. Must not be afraid of heights.
- Pence Center Box Office:(one position) Assists in day-to-day operation of the Pence Center Box Office; assists with a variety of clerical office duties, including data entry and ticket sales; money handling, taking checks and cash and giving correct change; customer service; answering phones and calling customers as needed; printing and distributing flyers and signs around campus; performs related duties as required. Must be available to work mornings, Mon-Thurs from 9am-12pm
- Technology Support Help Desk: (two positions)Student Office Assistant will assist with IT projects, help tickets dealing with computer and AV issues, help with student and staff walk-in questions and answering calls coming to ITS Helpdesk as well as creating help tickets.

Job Duties:
- Assist with correcting, completing and preparing paperwork as assigned by the supervisor.
- Able to perform basic office skills: typing, filing, cleaning, shredding, making flyers, answering phones.
- Possess basic computer skills i.e., Word, Excel, Publisher, Adobe and PowerPoint.
- Possess the ability to assist and answer questions from customers and operate regular office equipment such as copy machines, postage machine, and printers.
- Running variety of errands
- Assist students in accessing their Student Portals, as needed.
- Handle confidential information with tact, discretion and in compliance with FERPA regulations.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as needed.
- Provide assistance to the instructors and part-time staff, as needed.
- Additional job duties and responsibilities may vary based on your department.
Student Employment Qualifications:- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA.
- Must be enrolled in no less than six (6) credits at CAC. A student can work up to 19 hours per week if enrolled in 12 or more credits, 15 hours per week if enrolled for 9 - 11 credits and 10 hours per week if enrolled in 6 - 8 credits. Students can work no more than 19 hours per week while classes are in session.

Qualified candidates must also possess good communication skills and provide an excellent customer service experience for all. Previous work experience is a plus, but is not required. Must be reliable and a quick learner. All positions require a lot of independent work and self-initiative.
