The Job:

As a lab technician, you will play a critical role in the success of our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration lab. In this position, you will be responsible for the calibration, adjustment, and repair of a variety of specialized equipment. As a successful candidate, you will be able to meticulously follow prewritten quality procedures, accurately record and interpret calibration data, and solve complex problems on the fly. Since this position works directly with hundreds of businesses and countless specialized pieces of equipment, each day is unique and offers endless opportunities to expand your knowledge and technical abilities. Although calibration experience is preferred, it is not required. If you possess a strong mechanical or electrical aptitude, we can teach you the rest. Main Responsibilities:

· Inspect, repair, test, and adjust measuring instruments based on provided calibration procedures

· Verify equipment calibration data

· Identify and validate the appropriate calibration methods for equipment

• Determine measurement uncertainties based on a statistical analysis

· Maintain calibration intervals for Premier’s internal standards

· Provide training to new personnel on lab procedures and software as needed

· Maintain cleanliness of Premier’s metrology lab and equipment

· Understand and adhere to ISO/IEC 17025 in all laboratory practices and procedures

· Provide customer service through phone, email, and in-person interactions
