Position Summary : Operates mixing machines to blend ingredients into compounds for processing, loads ingredients into mixers, and weighs and measures ingredients.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times. Safely operate forklift. Properly complete blend sheet documentation. Input new recipes, start and stop blending process and verify new recipes in Beeco Blend System. Follow established blend procedure to include: verifying formula at control panel, comparing recipe and blending for correct quantities, performing RO water conductivity and TDS tests, mixing ingredients per instructions, gathering and recording required information, sampling and testing, and adding ingredients to premix tank. Stage and verify ingredients for blending to include: acquiring batch documentation, verifying batch documentation with production schedule, identifying discrepancies in batch documentation, assembling ingredients using pick sheets and First Expired/First Out (FEFO), weighing ingredients, performing blend calculations including metric conversions, properly handling partial ingredients, verifying ingredients and recording data. CIP blend tanks to include: properly completing documentation, preparing tanks, using correct wash and performing pH testing. Clean In Place (CIP) blend tanks with Peroxide. Dispose of tea leaves. Understand and follow all spill policies and procedures. Safely operate baler. Understand and follow recycling procedures for plastics, drums, tea leaves and pallets. Safely and efficiently operate foamer. General Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management. Regular and punctual attendance. All other duties as assigned. During CIP of blend tanks, check that jumpers at Can/Bottle Panel are correct and properly place jumpers in position. Prime, start and input offset in Ratio Blender Clean In Place (CIP) Ratio Blenders to include: properly completing documentation, preparing ratio blender, using correct wash and performing pH testing. During Clean In Place (CIP) of blend tanks, document caustic and acid strengths on circular chart. During Clean In Place (CIP) of blend tanks, test chemicals and follow correction process if out of specifications. Connect jumpers to correct positions during Clean In Place (CIP) of Ratio Blender. Complete proper Clean In Place (CIP) setup of Ratio Blender. Understand batch hold times and know how to plan when batching should occur. Complete tea brewing procedures to include: performing pre-production sanitation, changing filters as necessary, loading recipes and operating brew skid. Tear down and follow proper procedures to Clean In Place (CIP) and clean the tea brew system. Perform Clean In Place (CIP) of sucrose tank to include: tank setup, correct jumper placement, line setup, chemical testing, re-assembly and completing proper documentation. Load formulas into Ratio Blender. Troubleshoot issues with Beeco blend system. Diagnose and correct alarm situations with tea brewing procedure. Strong ability to work unsupervised. Assist with training Blend Technicians. Understand and follow ingredient hold process. Troubleshoot Ratio Blender issues. Clean In Place (CIP) RO Water Treatment System. Position Summary : The lift truck operator is responsible for the timely, accurate loading of outbound shipments, as well as racking of finished goods from production line or inbound transfer trailer.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times. Summary : The Quality Assurance Technician conducts quality assurance audits of beverage production assuring company and customer standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved. Consults with management to resolve quality, production, and efficiency problems. Daily operation of equipment which includes Refractometer, pH Meter, Densitometer, Distiller, Heaters, Timer, Water bath, Calibrated Thermometer, UI Filtec, Seam Tester, HPLC, Scale and all other related equipment. Standardizes equipment prior to use, ensures reagents and other materials are available. Performs analysis on products to ensure compliance to customer and regulatory agency guidelines in the Can Line department. Performs processing system (line checks) on a timely basis to ensure compliance to specifications. Conducts HPLC analysis and reports findings. Draw and stores retention samples. Provide production assistance in product audits. Ensures that all products not meeting specified attributes are segregated and held for further review and disposition. Quality testing of temperature of finished product. Ensure that all-pertinent analytical results into the data collections system on a timely basis, immediately informs supervision of any deviations. Summary : Responsible for routine segments of the quality assurance functions either directly or through QA Technicians.  Responsible for the training of techniques and procedures for inspecting and testing customers products and for the conducting of research on products defects in order to recommend modifications in products and/or quality standards on the basis of this research and of analysis of customer complaints. May also include responsibility for actual inspection and testing operations.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times Supervise the department for performing timely execution of product and packaging evaluations. Ensure that all the results of the inspections and analysis are accurate.  Interpret any trends that may jeopardize product quality and safety. Ensure that departmental, company, customer and regulatory guidelines are adhered to. Ensure that customer requirement for obtaining line analysis reports and line samples are met. Ensure that all products not meeting established specifications are held and segregated; sampled and appropriate documentation is generated. Communicate and coordinate with the manufacturing departments to ensure a concerted and proactive team effort is maintained. Supervise the training of QA Technicians and insure that proper skill sets are developed and documented. Assure that equipment and reagents are being calibrated and labeled. Establish sampling plans in the various steps of the following processes (may be a routine requirement) if perceived to be necessary: Blending and thermal processing if there is indication that product quality or safety may be jeopardized. Finished goods to insure quality parameters are met. Held product for further analysis and disposition. Troubleshoot and identify causes of quality deviations and provide recommendations for corrective and preventative measures. Perform GMP, HACCP and Sanitation Inspections. Available 24 hours a day via cell phone. Attend pre-shift meetings. Meet with QA technicians daily (meet with the 3rd shift technician a minimum of twice per week). Meet with the QA Managers regularly. Work with the QA Managers to understand product formulation and creating blend sheets for production. Trained on QA analysis, calibration, and quality checks – assist QA Technicians if needed. Investigate non-conforming product within 24 hours. Provide information to the QA Manager. Investigate customer complaints. Provide information to the QA Manager. Monitor all non-conforming products and work with the appropriate department(s) if rework is required. Inspect customer return shipments. Review all QA paperwork and charts daily. Follow up with any issues noted. Monitor QA retain and micro samples to ensure samples are saved and destroyed appropriately. Oversee the pH control program. Ensure QA supplies are in stock, chemicals are prepared and available. Ensure understand of QA lab equipment and its functionality; that they are maintained, operational and calibrated. Records are maintained. Audit the blenders to assure blending procedures are being followed. Audit the production areas to assure the customer’s requirements are being met. Ship customer samples as required. Perform weekly verification/calibration of scales, technician thermometers, refractometers, water baths, pH meters. Weekly air samples and bottle samples for microbiology. HFCS samples for microbiology. Observe and verify QA technicians and NCB blenders are performing analytical tests appropriately. Ensure the QA technicians and NCB blenders are trained annually on analytical tests. Ensure forms and work instructions are accurate, current, and controlled. Perform GMP inspections. Enforce safety, GMP and Food Safety standards. Monitor QA technicians PTO schedule and assure Production has QA coverage. If necessary, provide coverage and serve as backup to QA technicians. Attend the staff meetings if the QA Manager is unable to attend. Attend the monthly safety meetings. Work with customer reps with new products and/or packaging. Ensure qualification and commission runs are followed per the customer’s specifications. Oversee commission inspections. Generate summary reports.
