JOB TITLE: Mission Systems Broadcasting and Audio-Visual Engineer REPORTS TO: Program Manager LOCATION: Pentagon POSITION SUMMARY: MicroTech is seeking a personable, highly motivated Certified Broadcast Engineer (CBNE) with a wide breadth of Audio/Visual and general IT experience to provide administrative and operational support to a DOD client in the Pentagon. Expected to provide high quality engineering support along with recommendations and suggestions derived from in-depth research and analysis on the latest AV and IT innovations that will support or augment the client’s mission requirements. The successful candidate must be a team-player, able to work as part of a diverse group of technical/professional staff members; but who can also work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines and expectations. Must possess excellent social, interpersonal, written and verbal skills to effectively interact with the client, senior leadership, vendors, and fellow team members to provide quality information and support. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Audio-Visual communications electronics technical advisor with providing high quality audio and video support including the maintenance, administration, and operation of the Press Briefing Room (PBR). Activities include room and equipment setup and breakdown for multiple briefing events. Provide support and assistance for a variety of live and pre-recorded audio and video broadcast related activities. Assist with basic A/V and IT troubleshooting of PBR related A/V hardware, software, and other broadcast related issues. Manage and administer the client’s multi-display Digital Wall (Digital Signage) solution to include modifications of display ‘productions' and content utilizing the Audience TM software suite. Provide basic troubleshooting and remediation; act as liaison with vendors for required support and other higher tier support tasks. Assist client users with troubleshooting Smartboard and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) issues; act as liaison to coordinate support with the Enterprise Service Desk and Enterprise VTC teams as required. Assist with development and management of multiple operational projects and tasks using MS Project; coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to obtain current status and provides updates and recommendations to the PM and the client as needed. Assist the PM with analyzing future technology solutions and provide recommendations on use cases and implementation strategies. Lead and coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions. Assist with communicating and follow-up with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors. Coordinate and participates in the development and preparation of SOPs, reports, memoranda, and other proprietary / confidential correspondence. Provide the PM with technical leadership for engineering projects as needed. Job Requirements: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: Current DoD Secret Clearance (Interim clearance is allowed) Bachelor’s Degree Proficient with the full MS Office Suite of productivity tools Assist with providing high quality audio and video support including the maintenance, administration, and operation of a Press Briefing Room (PBR).
