Reliance Construction Company located in Wake Forest, NC is seeking a Project Manager to assist the Operations Manager in the management of contracts for federal agency clients. Our contracts are primarily electrical and mechanical work on both military and non-military federal facilities, however we also perform work in multiple construction related disciplines both in the continental U.S and abroad. This will be a full-time salaried position. The candidate will perform the following job duties Coordinate with the Operations Manager to establish project work requirements. Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents, reading contract or proposal requirements Assist in the preparation of proposals and estimates Assemble teams of subcontractors for use on projects Involvement in negotiation of contracts with government Lead the preparation and delivery of subcontracts Lead in the preparation and delivery of contractual documentation requirements Meet with government representatives on site Communicate with onsite Reliance personnel and provides communication and problem solving as required Provide onsite superintendent services if necessary Involvement in the application for accounts receivable invoices and documentation Communicate with customer representatives as necessary in the execution of contracts Assist in the educational/training requirements of other employees and/or contractors Assist in business development and capture management as necessary Acquire certification as necessary for the performance of work Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, re-designing processes, and implementing changes Provide input and ideas that will enable the company to run more efficiently and allow the promotion of company growth Job Requirements: The candidate for this position will hold a PMP certification or extensive project management experience. They will be required to be very computer literate, possess good typing, spelling and grammatical skills and mastery with Microsoft Word, Excel and MS Project or Primavera scheduling software. Experience with other Microsoft and Adobe products is also desirable. Prior experience within the construction or engineering industry would be valuable but a candidate who displays great aptitude and is capable of quickly learning new skills and concepts would also be considered. This position will require someone who is stable, reliable, self-motivated, and ready to be challenged in a busy environment. They must be able work without direct supervision while completing the work at hand. They must be able to fit into a small friendly office work environment while possessing a professional demeanor and appearance. Although this position will primarily be situated in our Henderson office, they will be required to travel to project sites to meet with the government representative, onsite Reliance superintendents, and subcontractors at regular intervals. This travel may be for one day, or up to a week or more at a time. Occasionally, they may be required to provide onsite superintendent services if necessary, whereas they will be on the ground running projects and subcontractors. As Reliance is a federal contractor working on secure military bases, all of our staff are subjected to background checks and verification for the ability to be employed in the U.S as well as attain entry onto federal facilities.
