The Project Status Manager (PSM) / Production Control (PC) Planner position is a blended role to support NPI product in the Austin Pilot Work Center. Projects managed are typically new, immature and low volume. The role requires tracking material from the initial - usually incomplete - BoMs through project shipment. Requires in-depth knowledge and experience. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Works independently, receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Key Responsibilities As PSM focal for projects you will work with Buyers, System PM's, Material PM's, Engineering, Program Management, Production and Operations to ensure material requirements are communicated correctly and quickly based on changing priorities and designs. Daily report of material status for production meetings and Business Unit material requirement meetings.
