Wiley is seeking a Project Manager who will be integral in the management of multiple projects. The individual in this role will work closely with internal clients, product management, and development to drive the creation of new functionality on the Engage Learning Management System. The Project Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing project management methodology and working with cross-functional teams to execute project plans. Responsibilities • Provide leadership in defining project management methodologies. • Work directly with internal clients in a consultative capacity to identify project objectives. • Develop and manage project plans for technology initiatives. Manage scope and change orders. Produce project status reports and manage to the project budget. • Conduct resource planning for resources working across project(s) based on scope of work and project goals. • Manage project risks to proactively identify potential issues. Employ risk mitigation strategies to minimize impact. • Ensure development approach and solution are linked to business objectives and future needs. • Document and communicate project status to internal stakeholders on a regular basis. Escalate issues via appropriate channels when necessary. • Assess project cost and estimate level of effort. • Participate in requirements gathering and solution design sessions. • Organize user acceptance testing. • Coordinate change management initiatives to support rollout of new functionality. • Manage internal client expectations, solicit feedback, and continue to evolve approach to ensure delivery of highest quality service. Job Requirements: Requirements • Bachelor’s degree required. • 2-3 years’ project management experience. • Experience managing multiple projects in parallel. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • High energy and motivation. • Exceptional client services and relationship building ability. • Strong technical project management experience. • Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to focus on details as well as big picture. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate information to technical and non-technical audiences. • Team player who can easily adapt in a rapidly changing environment. • Jira/Confluence experience preferred. • Familiarity with agile software development practices preferred.
