The Business Development Director will focus on supporting the Asia Education Growth strategy and deployment. This will include responsibility for opportunity pipeline development, joint go-to-market initiatives and solutions, establish and nurture executive level relationships with key customer segments. You will promote our technology enabled content solutions to Higher Education Institutions across Korea & Japan. As a self-motivated individual with a flair for sales, you will be passionate about: Education and learning Digital products Carry out complex, high-level deals This is a Contract role for an initial 1 year period with the potential to be converted into a permanent position. In this role you will: Work with Senior Executives, such as Presidents and Vice Presidents of Universities to close large deals Build a comprehensive knowledge of Wiley's product range Build and maintain an accurate database of your customers, business activity and your progress towards goals Craft business proposals that meet the needs of our customers Conduct presentations to key stakeholders Keep abreast changes in the marketplace and insights for the future Join a team of passionate people that strive to make a difference. The ideal candidate will have: A winning approach and proven track record of achieving revenue targets Develop go to market solutions based on customer requirements Experience in high level solution-based selling Strong questioning and listening skills Experience facilitating customer's transition to a digital / technological environment Exceptional communication, organisational and analytical skills Experience selling into various levels of seniority within a business, and the ability to meet, persuade and engage stakeholders across all levels and forge strong relationships Ability to speak either Japanese or Korean is desirable, must have good English communication skills. Experience in the publishing and /or education sector - desirable, but not essential. Established relationships with Senior Executives in Higher Education Institutions is desirable, but not essential. Why should you join Wiley?
