Duties and Responsibilities: *Operating and monitoring communication console to receive and relay command and control information or instructions *Checks the operation of equipment at the start of a shift, noting any malfunctions and calling for repairs in accordance with established SOP *Respond to received notices of roadwork especially in situations of roadwork location conflicts *Receives reports of problems with NYSDOT statewide operations software and/or HELP Truck electronic hardware and address in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures *Log details related to calls and dispatches Department personnel in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures Talent is the essence of meeting our client’s objectives, goals and challenges. Minimum Qualifications: *High School Diploma or GED *Ability to read, write and understand English *Valid New York State Driver's License Required *Ability to professionally interact with all levels of management *Must have an aptitude for providing excellent customer service Preferred Qualifications *Three (3) years experience desired *Familiarity with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Incident Command System (ICS) *Proficiency with multiple computer systems, including but not limited to; Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Office Suite (Word,Excel, Access), and various GIS and web-based information systems.
