The QA Analyst is an integral part of the IT Support team focused on ensuring a consistent and effective End-User (EU) experience. The QA Analyst will evaluate and review current processes and captured data to identify opportunities to improve the EU experience. They will test, implement and train users on new or modified software programs in order to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conforms to establishment guidelines. Essential Duties: Project support * Manages on-going expansion and IT improvement processes * Provides leadership and independent initiatives in facilitating and conducting information gathering, structured documentation, and presentation of findings to Leadership team * Liaises with internal customers and IT Support departments and follows up to completion on various programming and IT Support issues * Evaluates new features and functionality available in upcoming software releases * Manages technical competency and adherence to procedures * Tests requested functionality after change is complete Application support * Maintains current project notes and communicate the information to the business users * Works with developers in troubleshooting any system failures and/or data discrepancies * Partners with business to identify and resolve data discrepancies * Administers user acceptance testing for all new software developed providing final approval for project to be moved into production * Defines and executes regression test plans to assist in implementation of bug fix and upgrade releases * Assists with screen design * Tests interaction with other system modules for conflict and user interface * Administer testing for all new software developed providing final approval for project to be moved into production * Test requested functionality after development is complete * Documents the problem and ascertains corrections to be made. Documentation * Provides actionable data to various internal support groups as needed. * Provides feedback to the team leaders and managers. * Performs root cause analysis to determine opportunities for improvement * Coordinates and facilitates call calibration sessions with the various Team owners. * Works with business to understand workflow and gaps. Translates the information into business and functional requirements. * Performs ongoing documentation of enhancements to applications Customer satisfaction * Identifies, researches, and resolves problems * Duplicates either the failure in the process or the code * Provides feedback to the Owner team leaders and managers * Assists IT Support Manager and Supervisors in monitoring Technical Support Representative's technical competency and adherence to procedures Requirements Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience: * Solid working knowledge of RentalMan Software * Experienced in relational database analysis * Experienced with Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, Excel * Ability to distill information and articulate business needs to developers * Understanding of relationships between theoretical information and data Other Skills Required: * Strong oral and written communication skills * Dedication to providing exceptional customer service * Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment. * Exceptional listening and analytical skills.
